ISRAEL CONCLUDES TEST OF NEW SATELLITE LAUNCHER

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has concluded a successful test of an enhancedsatellite launcher. Israeli defense sources said the new launch vehicle was designed tocontain greater capability than the Shavit-class rocket, developed in the1970s. They said the new solid-fuel vehicle was also larger than the Shavitand could carry a larger payload.
