KUWAIT PREPARES TO RECEIVE LONGBOWS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Kuwait has been preparing to receive the first of 16advanced AH-64D Apache Longbow multi-role combat helicopters from the UnitedStates. U.S. officials and industry executives said the first of 16 Longbows forthe Kuwait Air Force has been accepted by the U.S. government. They said theAH-64D would remain in the United States for qualification tests until 2006.
