TURKEY REVISES PROCUREMENT PROGRAM

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey has revised its procurement strategy to stress development over co-production. Officials said the strategy was drafted by the Defense Industries Undersecretariat, the civilian arms procurement unit. They said the government of Prime Minister Recep Erdogan would invest in indigenous development of subsystems and software for avionics, mission computers, electronic warfare for air and ground platforms.
