India Places Israel Missile Project On Hold

LONDON [MENL] -- India has suspended a huge air defense project with Israel.
Indian officials and industry sources said New Dehli has informed Israel
of a delay in the launch of development of a joint air defense system. They
said the project has been blocked by an Indian investigation into corruption
in the procurement of Israel's Barak point-defense missile defense system.
"The delay could be for months or longer," an Indian industry source
said. "This will require a political decision."
