TURKEY TO PRODUCE AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey plans to coproduce an air defense system that couldalso be used against land targets. The Turkish firm FNSS has signed an agreement with Germany'sRheinmetall's Oelikon Contraves for the coproduction and assembly ofSkyranger. The Skyranger has been developed by Rheinmetall for thedestruction of cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and combatground vehicles.
