Hamas Releases Most Al Qaida Fighters
GAZA CITY [MENL] -- The Hamas regime has reported the release of most Al
Qaida-aligned fighters captured in a major operation in the southern Gaza
Strip in August 2009.
Officials said Hamas released most of the nearly 200 Al Qaida-aligned
fighters captured during an assault on a mosque in Rafah in August. The
mosque had been controlled by the Al Qaida-aligned Jund Ansar Allah, which
had declared a separate Islamic entity in the southern Gaza Strip.
