Kuwait Def. Min. Blocks Audit Of Arms Deals

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Kuwait was said to have blocked an independent
investigation of major arms deals suspected of being tainted with
corruption.
Parliament was said to have failed in efforts to obtain information on
at least three weapons projects conducted by the Defense Ministry.
Parliamentarians said the Defense Ministry, including Defense Minister Jaber
Mubarak Al Sabah, have refused to testify on the issue.
