PA Transfers Gen. After Gov.'s Death

RAMALLAH [MENL] -- The Palestinian Authority has transferred a general who
acknowledged corruption in the security forces.
Officials said the PA has transferred Gen. Radi Assidi from his security
command post in Jenin to Kalkilya. The transfer took place days after
Assidi, commander of the National Security Forces in Jenin, said corrupt PA
officers were linked to a shooting attack on Jenin Gov. Qadoura Mussa on May
2. Mussa, 60, died of a heart attack hours after he escaped the
assassination attempt.
