Israel Demines Jordan Border

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military has progressed in efforts to demine its
border with Jordan.
Officials said units from the army's Engineering Corps have been
removing or detonating thousands of mines to facilitate a border security
system along the frontier with Jordan. They said 700 landmines were
detonated along the Jordanian border on May 16.
