Foreigners Form Small Part Of Syrian Revolt
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Foreign fighters remain a small portion of the Sunni
revolt in Syria, a report said.
The Washington Institute for Near East Policy asserted that foreign
fighters comprised no more than seven percent of the Sunni revolt against
Syrian President Bashar Assad. In a report, author Aaron Zelin said between
700 and 1,400 foreign fighters entered or attempted to arrive in Syria in
2012.
