Saudis Dismayed Over U.S. Arms To Iraq

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia has expressed concern over U.S.
arms sales to Iraq.
Saudi sources said Riyad has questioned the U.S. decision to provide
Iraq with advanced combat platforms, including the latest variant of the
F-16 multi-role fighter. They said Iraq has turned into a Shi'ite proxy of
neighboring Iran, and that American weapons and technology sent to Baghdad
could reach the Teheran regime.
