EU Refuses To Sanction Hizbullah

LONDON [MENL] -- The European Union, despite appeals from Israel and the
United States, has refused to designate Hizbullah a terrorist organization.
Officials said the EU has not responded to pressure by Israel and the
United States for sanctions on Hizbullah. They said most EU states regarded
Hizbullah as a political movement that could not be ignored.
