U.S. Prepares GCC For Iran War
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has been quietly preparing the Gulf
Cooperation Council for a war with Iran.
Officials said the administration of President Barack Obama has been
working with the six GCC states to identify defense and security
requirements in any war with Teheran. They said the Defense Department and
State Department were focusing on enhancing the GCC's defensive
capabilities, particularly the interception of Iranian ballistic missiles
and Gulf maritime security.
