In First, Turkey Attacks Syria

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey, after sustaining several mortar strikes, has
launched its first attack against Syria.
Turkey said its military bombed targets in Syria on Oct. 3 after
repeated Syrian shelling. In the latest Syrian mortar strike, five people
were killed in the southeastern Turkish town of Akcakale.
