Turkey, U.S. Clamp Arms Embargo On Assad

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey and the United States have led an arms embargo on
the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Officials said Ankara and Washington have exchanged intelligence data to
track suspected weapons shipments to Syria. They said the Assad regime was
ordering arms and other military equipment from such countries as China,
Iran, Russia and Ukraine.
