NATO Criticized In Libyan Campaign
LONDON [MENL] -- NATO has come under severe criticism for operational
failures during its six-month air campaign over Libya in 2011.
A report by the Danish military determined that NATO failed to
coordinate air strikes on targets of the then-regime of Col. Moammar
Khaddafy in Libya. The report, released on Oct. 10, said NATO members also
procured Israel weapons and aircraft systems to ensure the destruction of
Khaddafy's military.
