Syrian Rebels Acquire Heavy Weapons

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- Sunni rebels have acquired main battle tanks and
missiles in their war against Syrian President Bashar Assad, a report said.
The Washington Institute for Near East Policy said rebel units obtained
a range of heavy weapons in 2012 from the arsenal of Assad's
military. The institute cited rebel raids of Syrian Army and Air Force bases
in the east and north.
