U.S. Researches Tunnel Smuggling

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States, trying to help two of its key Middle
East allies, has been researching ways to stop smuggling through tunnels.
The Sandia National Laboratories has been working on methods to use
seismic waves to detect smuggling of arms, drugs and people through tunnels.
The government laboratory has been approaching the completion of a two-year
study that sought to explain why seismic data detects some tunnels but not
others.
