Egypt Not Expected To Woo Iran
TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Egypt, restrained by its Arab and Western allies, was not
expected to form a strategic alliance with Iran, a report said.
The Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies asserted that the Islamist
regime of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi aims to improve relations with
Teheran. But in a report the center said Morsi, who met Iranian President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in February, was being restrained by Egypt's dependence
on the Gulf Cooperation Council and the United States.
