U.S. Seeks Al Qaida Chief In Africa
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has sought an Al Qaida-aligned
commander in Africa.
Officials said the Defense Department has overseen the search for a
Kenyan deemed the leading commander of Al Shabab. They said the commander,
Abdul Kadir Abdul Kadir and known as Ikrima, escaped a U.S. special forces
operation in Somalia on Oct. 4.
