U.S. Forces Opposition To Geneva

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States, threatening to halt all support, has
forced the Syrian opposition to attends peace talks with President Bashar
Assad.
Arab diplomatic sources said the administration of President Barack
Obama employed heavy pressure to ensure the participation of the
Western-sponsored Syrian National Coalition at the so-called Geneva-2
conference. The sources said the administration threatened to sever support
to SNC unless it attended the parley, scheduled for Jan. 22.
