N. Africa Ready For Arms Rise

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- North Africa was expected to increase its defense
budget amid the Al Qaida threat, a report said.
Forecast International asserted that North African states as well as
their neighbors in the Sahel would spend much more on weapons and training
over the next decade. In a report, Forecast cited the growing threat of Al
Qaida as well as an expected six percent a year increase in the gross
domestic product.
