U.S. Reduces Egypt Copter Support
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. military has reduced support for the attack
helicopter fleet in Egypt, a report said.
The Washington Institute for Near East Policy asserted that the Defense
Department and U.S. Army have been unable to maintain support for Egypt's
fleet of AH-64 Apache attack helicopters. In a report, the institute cited
safety concerns for Americans in Egypt in wake of the military overthrow of
its first Islamist president, Mohammed Morsi, in July 2013.
