Israel Cites 8,000 Foreign Shi'ites In Syria

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's intelligence community has determined that Iran
recruited up to 8,000 foreign Shi'ite fighters for the war in Syria.
The Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center asserted that between
7,000 and 8,000 foreign Shi'ites were deployed to defend the regime of
Syrian President Bashar Assad. The center, deemed the open-source arm of the
Israeli intelligence community, said the Shi'ites included troops from the
Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah.
