N. Korea Could Transfer ICBM Tech To Iran
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- North Korea could transfer its intercontinental
ballistic missile technology to Iran, a report said.
A U.S.-Russian panel said North Korea could transfer ICBM technology
demonstrated in a missile launch in April 2009. The panel, established by
American and Russian scientists, said Teheran has long benefited from North
Korean missile development.
"Iran has benefited from the North Korean missile program in the past,"
the panel said. "It cannot be ruled out that the latest North Korean
technology will be transferred to Iran. If that happened, it could speed up
the Iranian ability to produce IRBMs [intermediate-range ballistic missiles]
