SAUDIS PLAN TO ACQUIRE 24 EUROFIGHTERS

LONDON [MENL] -- Saudi Arabia plans to purchase at least 24 Eurofighters. Industry sources said the Royal Saudi Air Force intends to acquire atleast 24 Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from BAE Systems in a contract thatcould be signed in 2006. The sources said the Typhoons would replace theSaudi fleet of British-origin Tornado fighters.
