ISRAELI, TURKISH FIRMS COMPETE FOR SUBS

ANKARA [MENL] -- Israeli and Turkish defense contractors have been competingfor a project to build a Turkish naval submarine. Israeli and Turkish comprise a portion of the 25 companies that havereceived a Request for Information for the Turkish Navy submarine project.Under the project, the navy would procure four diesel submarines in anestimated $2.5 billion deal.
