Al Qaida Maintains Presence In Iraq

BAGHDAD [MENL] -- Despite repeated U.S. efforts, Al Qaida retains an
operational presence in Iraq.
The U.S. military has determined that the Al Qaida network has lost
control over most of Iraq. But Islamic insurgency cells retain a presence in
at least three Iraqi provinces.
