ISRAEL DEVELOPS AIR-LAUNCH OPTION

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel has been developing a capability to launchsatellites from an airplane. State-owned Israeli contractors have been cooperating to develop anair-launch booster that could set a satellite into orbit for cheaper andeasier than the current ground-based rocket launch. Executives said theprogram would undergo development tests over the next year.
