PENTAGON LOOKS FOR SUICIDE BOMB DETECTORS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has turned to the private sector forthe development of counter-insurgency systems. The Defense Department has launch a $1 billion project to acquiretechnology from the private sector that could prevent suicide bombings andfoil other insurgency operations. The Pentagon has also sought thecapability to help determine whether a captured suspect was lying underinterrogation.
