PENTAGON SEEKS TO STOP SUICIDE BOMBERS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has been financing a project todevelop technology that could detect and stop a suicide bomber. The Defense Department has entered a partnership with companies todevelop systems that could detect insurgents who wear explosive belts undertheir clothes. Suicide bombers have been the main tool of Sunni insurgentsin Iraq, but also threaten U.S. interests in the rest of the Middle East.
