TURKEY PREPARES FOR SPY SATELLITE RfP

ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey has been preparing for the imminent launch of a tender for a militaryspy satellite. Officials said the Defense Industry Undersecretariat, known as SSM, intends to launch a tender for the procurement of a military spy satellite over the next few weeks. They said SSM plans to invite several Western and other contractors to bid on the project.
