U.S. ATTACKS ON IRAQ NEARLY DOUBLE

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has nearly doubled the rate of airattacks on Iraq. U.S. officials said that British and U.S. warplanes attacked Iraqi airdefense air assets in northern and southern Iraq at a rate nearly doublethat in 2001. They said allied forces attacked Iraqi installations 78 timesin 2002.
