PENTAGON DRAFTS COUNTER-TERRORISM STRATEGY

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States is drafting a strategic programthat aims to protect military installations in the Middle East and aroundthe world. Officials said the Defense Department would release the antiterrorismstrategic plan by January 2003 amid an accelerated military buildup in thePersian Gulf. The plan is meant to detail strategic goals, objectives, andan approach to achieve them.
