TURKEY, SYRIA LAUNCH DRIVE TO PREVENT WAR

NICOSIA [MENL] -- Syria and Turkey have launched separate efforts to preventa U.S.-led war against Iraq. Both countries plan to convene foreign ministers of Middle Eastcountries over the next week. Arab diplomatic sources said Syria wants tosave the regime of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein while Turkey has raisedthe prospect of Saddam's exile.
