U.S. ALLOWS SADDAM ENVOY TO CONDUCT EXILE MISSION

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United States has approved an Arab effort toconvince President Saddam Hussein to enter exile. The Bush administration has agreed to consider an Arab proposal forimmunity from war crimes prosecution for Saddam, his aides and theirfamilies in return for their exile. The agreement was said to haverepresented a reversal of the administration's position last week.
