ISRAEL OFFERS TURKEY SATELLITE PRODUCTION

ANKARA [MENL] -- Israel is said to have offered Turkey a joint venture forthe manufacture of military satellites. Turkish industry sources said the Israeli offer was part of an effort torevive Ankara's interest in the procurement of a military spy satellite. In2001, Turkey rejected an Israeli satellite bid for France's Alcatel. Monthslater, Ankara cancelled the award to France.
