UAE REGULATES PRIVATE SECURITY FIRMS

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United Arab Emirates has launched an effort toregulate the numerous private security firms operating in the country. Officials said the aim is to impose standards for the industry andensure that vendors are screened before they can offer their services togovernment or the private sector. Security firms are employed for bothpolice and guard duties around government and private installations aroundthe UAE.
