BAHRAIN FOILS PLAN FOR ATTACKS ON U.S. FLEET

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- Bahrain has arrested an insurgency cell that planned tostage attacks against U.S. military personnel and facilities in the kingdom. Western diplomatic sources said Bahraini's domestic intelligence servicearrested a five-member cell that included at least two members of thekingdom's military. The sources said the arrests took place on Friday andthe suspects could be linked to either Al Qaida or Iraq.
