ISRAEL'S IAI REPORTS RECORD ORDERS; LOWER PROFIT

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's largest defense contractor reports record ordersin 2002 amid decreased profits.The state-owned Israel Aircraft Industries said new contracts signedlast year amounted to $3 billion. The figure comprised a four percentincrease from 2001 and a record for the company.IAI also reported a record in orders backlog for 2002.
