PENTAGON ISSUES 19 NEW NBC SYSTEMS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The U.S. Defense Department has developed and produced19 new systems to protect American troops against biological and chemicalweapons attacks. Officials said the systems are meant to rapidly detect biological andchemical weapons agents employed by Iraq against U.S. forces. The systemsalso represented improvements to U.S. Army equipment used in the 1991 Gulfwar against Baghdad.
