ISRAEL'S MILITARY WARNS OF DEPLETING FUNDS

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Israel's military has warned that its budget to wage thewar against the Palestinian Authority is quickly running out. Israeli military sources said the General Staff has warned both thegovernment and parliament that the military will soon be unable to maintainoperations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The sources said the military isshort of more than $1 billion in its operating budget for fiscal 2003 andhas already cut most exercises, training and maintenance.
