CYPRUS EXPECTS TO BE KEY BASE IN IRAQ WAR

NICOSIA [MENL] -- The island of Cyprus is expected to be a key air and navalbase in any British military participation in the war against Iraq. Britain is expected to use its two bases on the island forwarships and aircraft on missions in the eastern Mediterranean and in theGulf. The bases will provide fuel, munitions, logistics and training.
