ARAB STATES UNDERGO BRAIN DRAIN

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The Arab world continues to be hurt by a brain drainfrom young university-educated men who emigrate to Western Europe and theUnited States. U.S. analysts said the brain drain, combined with a rising unemploymentrate among young Arabs, threatens the stability of the Middle East. The highemigration rate of young Arabs also creates ghettos of frustrated Muslims inthe West that serve as pools for Al Qaida recruitment.
