U.S. HELPS TRAIN UAE IN NBC PROTECTION

ABU DHABI [MENL] -- The United States has helped train the United ArabEmirates' military in the detection of and response to a nonconventionalweapons attack. U.S. Navy units have been training with UAE units in Kuwait in fightingin a nuclear, biological and chemical environment. About 4,000 UAE soldiershave been deployed in a mechanized brigade as part of a Gulf Arab force toprotect Kuwait.
