TURKEY, U.S. DRAFT NEW MILITARY COOPERATION PROPOSAL
ANKARA [MENL] -- Turkey and the United States have drafted a new militarycooperation agreement against Iraq. Turkish officials said the draft proposal abandons the prospect ofbringing up to 62,000 U.S. troops into Turkey to open a northern frontagainst Iraq. Instead, the new plans envisions U.S. use of Turkish air spaceas well as the use of Turkey for U.S. military logistics efforts.
