U.S. FINDS NO AL QAIDA PRESENCE IN S. AMERICA
WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States is said to have failed to uncover AlQaida cells in South America. State Department officials said an investigation launched bycounterterrorism experts in consultation with South American governmentsfailed to detect any presence of Al Qaida. They said this included a searchin the tri-border area of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
