BRITISH PARLIAMENT WANTS PROBE OF SYRIA SALE
LONDON [MENL] -- British parliamentarians are calling for an investigationinto the sale of British military and dual-use systems and components toSyria. The parliamentarians have reviewed government reports that asserted thatSyria received nearly $2.5 million worth of dual-use of equipment andcomponents used in the production of chemical weapons and night-visionequipment. They are demanding an investigation of whether some of theBritish components were bought by Syria for Iraq's military.
