CAIRO [MENL] -- The Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah has raised its profile inthe Middle East and concluded a rare meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood inEgypt. Islamic sources said a Hizbullah delegation met Muslim Brotherhoodgeneral guide, or spiritual leader, Mohammed Mahdi Akef on Saturday inCairo. The arrival of the Hizbullah delegation, which includedparliamentarian Mohammed Hassan Yaghi, was approved by Egyptian authoritiesas part of an effort to reconcile with Egypt's Islamic groups, the sourcessaid.
