CENTCOM FILLS 70% OF HUMVEE ARMOR NEEDS

WASHINGTON [MENL] -- The United States has filled nearly 70 percent of themilitary's combat armored vehicle requirements in the Middle East andsurrounding regions. Officials said that over the last year the U.S. Army has vastlyincreased the number of combat and support military vehicles that receivedarmor. They said the aim was to armor every vehicle deployed by the U.S.military in the Middle East, Persian Gulf, South Asia and Central Asiaregions.
